For parenting support, it may involve one or more visits as needed. Home visits are available. An initial “intake” interview begins the process of understanding your family and your concerns about your child and the impact on your home.
Sometimes a one-time consultation is all that is needed to provide some advice and guidance about where you are and the direction you need to go.
G6 Family Coaching is unique because after working in public education and special education, the knowledge and expertise is available to help guide the healing process at home and also ensure proper supports and realistic expectations at school.
For specific anxiety management coaching, G6 style combines physical training with anxiety education and a “talk therapy” style of interaction with your child. Consultation with parents to help “carry over” effective techniques and language and behaviors to reduce anxious experiences in your child.
Getting to know your child’s unique style and approach to life, while learning what “feeds” their anxiety, is key in moving them forward in a positive direction and helping them to unlock themselves from the prison on anxiety.
